Get out and VOTE!

Once a year, the Badgerland Striders have nominations and voting for our elected board positions of president, V.P.-Administration, Secretary and Treasurer.  If you wish to consider running for one of the offices or would like to nominate a deserving candidate, here is what you need to know:
 
  • Nominations open on October 1 and close on October 31
  • Potential candidates and nominations for Club officers should be emailed to Jerry Anderson at: ajanderson@milwpc.com on or before October 31
  • Candidates must be “seconded” and accept their nominations by October 31.  Jerry will confirm seconds and candidate ‘acceptance”
  • Voting will take place at the November 14th Strider meeting (7pm at Pettit National Ice Center-Hall of Fame Room) 

NOTES:  Please know that the positions are for the Executive Board and that ALL positions will require attendance at least once/month.  In addition:

Treasurer: Will need to be at “finance committee” meetings and should be familiar with QuickBooks, be able to provide and expain financial statements and complete state/federal tax forms

V.P. Administration:  Responsible for overseeing the membership database and renewals.  Will take over responsibilities of Club president in event of vacancy

Secretary:  Keeper of the Executive Board meeting minutes, distribution of information and keeper of the records.

President:  Will oversee the Road Race Committee (governing body of Striders), Finance Committee and Executive Board.  Several meetings/month.  Should have working knowledge of Road Race Committee proceedings.
