6:30pm: Social time with beer, soda and wine available with light snacks
7pm: Speaker of the month: Annie Weiss
Last fall, Milwaukee native Annie Weiss, 33, logged the fastest-known time completing the Ice Age Trail, a 1,200-mile trek which stretches across Wisconsin. The trail is notoriously challenging—some of it’s not even built, the miles through the woods are hard to navigate, and 500 miles of it are actually on roads. Weiss, a former Boston-qualifying marathoner, finished the Ice Age Trail in 21 days, 18 hours, and seven minutes—beating both the women’s and the men’s course records (the men’s record by 11 hours and 53 minutes and the women’s record by 13 days).
