2019 Ice Age Trail 50 has been named the RRCA “Natuional Ultra Championship”
The Ice Age Trail 50 is one of the oldest and largest ultras in the country. Founded in 1982 by the Badgerland Striders, the event now includes three distances: 50-mile, 50k and Half Marathon. The ultra events follow the Ice Age National Scenic Trail through the beautiful Southern Kettle Moraine Forest. The Half Marathon is a loop course on the Nordic trail. The courses are challenging with plenty of hills, ranging from wide and grassy cross country ski trails to tight, twisting and technical single-track trails. With plenty of aid stations and trail markers, experienced volunteer support and a great post-race party featuring live music, a BBQ lunch and local microbrews, the Ice Age Trail 50 is a “rite of Spring” for the ultrarunning community.
Swag & Awards
All Ice Age runners receive a long-sleeved tech t-shirt and a special gift (in 2018, it was a runner’s buff).
50-mile finishers receive a custom-designed and locally-manufactured belt buckle. 50k and Half Marathon finishers receive a 2019 key chain.
Your entry fee also includes a ticket to the Ice Age Trail post-party, which includes a free catered BBQ lunch, live music and local microbrews.
