Welcome to the 39th Dick Lytie Classic on Saturday 3/23/19 at 8 AM including a 3 mile, 15K, and Half Marathon course. In 1981, Dick organized the inaugural Dick Lytie Spring Classic to give folks the opportunity to run together and compete. After Dick’s death in 1996, the race was taken over by Deb and Mark Ernest, owners of In Competition Sports in Green Bay. It remained a modest event and true classic consisting of only minimal water stops, long climbs and famously bad weather with all money raised donated to a local charity. Following Deb ‘s death in 2016, the official event was not held in 2017 but a fun run was still held to commemorate the race. The Green Bay Running Club brought back the race in 2018 and will continue the tradition of using much of the original course (hills and all) . Please join us for an old school race done just right!!!
